The Land Use Planning and Climate Change Policy Discussion Paper was produced through an in-depth process to evaluate and understand the Town of Caledon’s current condition and opportunities to further advance climate change priorities. The process involved a review of current plans and policies, a review of best practices in climate change mitigation and adaptation policy, and the development of a gaps and opportunities analysis to inform proposed policy updates.  

This Discussion Paper will inform the Town’s Official Plan update, which will include reference to climate change considerations throughout the Official Plan that are explicitly tied to the unique situational assessment produced for the Town of Caledon.
